India's Hardik Pandya has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC T20I allrounders' rankings, while Tilak Varma has soared into the top 10 batters for the first time, now ranked third.
Hardik surpassed England's Liam Livingstone and Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee to secure the No. 1 position. His standout performances during the T20I series against South Africa included two wickets and scores of 18, 39 not out, and 2, with his best effort being a spell of 1 for 8 in three overs during the fourth match in Johannesburg. This marks Hardik's return to the top after India’s T20 World Cup triumph earlier this year.
Tilak Varma, named Player of the Series, jumped an incredible 69 places in the rankings following back-to-back unbeaten centuries, along with earlier scores of 20 and 33. He now sits behind Travis Head and Phil Salt, with Suryakumar Yadav closely trailing in fourth. Sanju Samson, who also hit two centuries in the series, climbed 17 places to rank 22nd despite recording two ducks.
Among bowlers, India’s Arshdeep Singh gained three spots to reach ninth, thanks to his eight wickets against South Africa, including two three-wicket hauls in the final matches. Australia's Adam Zampa rose to third place in the rankings after taking six wickets against Pakistan, while teammate Nathan Ellis climbed 15 spots to rank 11th.
South Africa's Tristan Stubbs advanced three places to 23rd, and Heinrich Klaasen rose six places to 59th. Following the Sri Lanka-New Zealand series, Kusal Mendis achieved joint 12th among batters, and Maheesh Theekshana rose to sixth among ODI bowlers, pushing India's Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj down to seventh and eighth, respectively.
