Champions Trophy Final Tickets to Be Released Four Days Before Match

Tickets for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final, set for March 9, will be available starting March 5, just four days before the match. The ICC announced on Monday that tickets for the eight-team tournament, which begins on February 19, will follow this timeline due to the unique hybrid hosting arrangement prompted by India’s decision to not travel to Pakistan.

Under this model, India will play all their matches in Dubai, including the knockouts if they qualify. Dubai will host the first semi-final on March 4, regardless of India's participation, while the second semi-final will be held in Lahore. Should India not reach the final, the championship match will also take place in Lahore.

Ticket sales for the Pakistan leg of the tournament, covering 10 matches and the Lahore semi-final, will start on Tuesday at 2 PM Pakistan time (1:30 PM IST). General category tickets are priced from 1000 Pakistani rupees (approximately $3.59), while premium tickets start at 1500 rupees (approximately $5.38). According to tournament director Sumair Ahmad Syed, ticket prices have been kept affordable to ensure widespread fan participation and create a celebratory atmosphere.

Details regarding ticket sales for the Dubai leg of the tournament, including the much-awaited India-Pakistan group match on February 23, will be announced in the coming days.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway in Pakistan to ready stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.

The venues, which are undergoing renovations, are expected to be ready on time. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Karachi’s National Stadium are also scheduled to host a triangular ODI series involving New Zealand and South Africa ahead of the Champions Trophy.

This last-minute ticket release mirrors challenges faced during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, where the initial ticket batch went on sale just 41 days before the tournament opener.
